Berhampur: Hinjili Police in Odisha’s Ganjam district busted two gambling dens at two separate villages and arrested 26 gamblers yesterday.
Acting on tip-offs, special team of Hinjili Police under the leadership of IIC Abhimanyu Dash conducted raids and arrested the gamblers. Besides, they seized Rs.1,67,300, 17 mobile phones and 12 motorcycles from their possession.
Meanwhile speaking about the cases, Ganjam Superintendent of Police (SP) Brijesh Kumar Rai informed gambling will not be allowed in any part of the district and such raids will be conducted on regular basis.
