Fuel price continues to surge, Check today’s rate

Bhubaneswar: Petrol and diesel prices increased for second consecutive day in capital city Bhubaneswar on Thursday. Today, the petrol price in Bhubaneswar has been recorded at Rs 107.13 per litre while the diesel price has been recorded at Rs 103.53 per litre. On Wednesday, the Petrol and diesel prices were recorded at at Rs 107.08 and 103.50 per litre respectively.

All major cities of Odisha has registered petrol price above 100 and the rate of petrol in Malkangiri district has been recorded to be the highest in the state at Rs 113.07. The other major cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Lucknow, Jaipur and other cities has also recorded the petrol price above Rs 100 including Rs 103.31 in Chennai, Rs 106.77 in Kolkata and Rs 112.11 in Mumbai. The diesel price in various cities are Rs 99.26 in Chennai, Rs 98.03, in Kolkata and in Mumbai the rates have crossed above Rs 100 mark at Rs 102.89.

On the same hand, the price of petrol in the national capital is Rs 106.54 per litre(up by Rs 0.35) while the price of diesel is at Rs 95.27 per litre (up by Rs 0.35).

Globally, oil prices climbed and were near multi-year highs as an energy supply crunch continued across the globe. Brent crude rose 0.21 per cent to $86.04 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures rose 1.10 per cent to $83.87.
