Four Injured In Fire Mishap At NALCO In Angul

Angul: Four persons sustained burn injuries after a fire broke out in the Smelter Casthouse- B unit of the Angul unit of National Aluminium Company (NALCO) today.

Though the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, a short circuit is believed to be the reason behind the mishap.

The injured have been identified as Mithun Nath, a contractual worker of Patanasahi village, two students, Bisweswar Samal and Rajanikant Parida undergoing apprenticeship training and Rinkina Sahoo, a woman worker of NALCO.

The victims were immediately rushed to NALCO hospital for treatment and later referred to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
