Four Imposters Posing As Journalists Arrested In Odisha

Berhampur: Sadar police today arrested four persons who were allegedly posing as journalists and threatening a school teacher in the area.

The imposters have been identified as Sunil Baliarsingh, Tapan Patnaik and Deepak Badatya and Nageswar Rao. Police have seized a boom of a news channel, a video camera, fake press cards and a car from the accused.

Police said that the accused identifying themselves as journalists reached a school in the area and recorded several videos. “Later they also threatened the school authorities when they intervened. However, they fumbled when locals queried about their identities,” said a police official.

Police said that the accused are being further interrogated to ascertain the victims who were fleeced by them.
