Bhubaneswar: Proving all speculations to be right, former CM of Odisha Hemananda Biswal’s daughter Sunita Biswal joined Biju Janata Dal (BJD) along with her hundreds of supporters here today.
BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik welcomed and inducted Sunita to the conch party fold at a special event at his residence Naveen Niwas.
Notably, Sunita who remained as the executive president of Sundergarh district Congress till her resignation, was unhappy over her party’s denial for a Lok Sabha ticket in the upcoming poll. Her name was recommended for Assembly Seat by the Grand Old Party.
However, Sunita rubbished the claims that she joined the party with a purpose.
“I will accept the decision of the party regarding ticket distribution”, said Sunita.
“I was inspired by the dedication and political will of CM Naveen Patnaik and impressed by the schemes like Mission Shakti and KALIA,” she added.
Similarly, the BJD supremo also expressed his happiness over the woman leader’s joining of his party and hoped that it would strengthen BJD.
