Former Koraput MLA Krushna Sagaria joins BSP
Bhubaneswar: Former Koraput MLA Krushna Chandra Sagaria, who had been sacked from Congress recently, joined Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) at the Lower PMG here today.
Sagaria was included into the party fold in the presence of several senior leaders of BSP at a special function.
Notably, Sagaria had resigned as a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly on November 6 last year on moral ground for failing ensure justice to the Kunduli gang rape victim who committed suicide later. Since then he was under Congress’ scanner for various anti-party activities.
Finally, axe fell on the former Koraput MLA along with another senior leader Srikant Jena on January 19 this year and the Odisha Pradesh Congress disciplinary committee sacked both of them from party on ‘disciplinary ground’.
While Sagaria chose his path post ouster from the grand old party today, Jena is yet to decide his course of action.
