Former Dhenkanal MLA Nabin Nanda Joins Congress

Bhubaneswar: Former BJD Leader and Dhenkanal MLA Nabin Nanda on Wednesday joined the Congress party ahead of the first phase of general elections in the state on April 11.

Nanda joined the grand old party in the presence of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Chief Niranjan Patnaik and other party workers at the Congress Bhawan here.

The OPCC President welcomed Nanda and said that his presence will strengthen the party. Taking to Twitter, he wrote- “Today Former BJD MLA Shri Nabin Nanda joined Congress with many of his supporters. I welcome them to the Congress family.”

Noteworthy, Nabin Nanda was expelled from the BJD in July last year after he was arrested from a spa in Kolkata where a sex racket was being operated in the name of massage services.
