Former Congress MLA Jogesh Singh to join BJD

Bhubaneswar: Putting all speculations to the rest, former Congress MLA Jogesh Singh on Monday clarified that he will join the BJD party. He will join the state ruling party on February 6.

In an exclusive interview with Kalinga TV, the former Sundergarh MLA said, “After having talks with the people of Sundergarh and my followers, I have decided to join the party of the best Chief Minister of the country – Naveen Patnaik.”

“I will join BJD on February 6 in Bhubaneswar along with my followers and well-wishers,” he added.

Jogesh had resigned from the Odisha Assembly on January 22 after he sent his resignation letter to AICC president Rahul Gandhi on January 18.

The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) had suspended him for his alleged anti-party activities.
