Bhubaneswar: Former Congress MLA Prafulla Majhi joined Biju Janata Dal (BJD) the ruling party of Odisha on Friday.
Majhi joined the party in the presence of BJD’s organizational secretary Pranab Prakash Das at an event in Bhubaneswar.
Recently, Majhi was expelled from Congress due to unruly behavior and anti-party activities.
It is noteworthy that, Majhi was a three-time legislator from the Talsara Assembly constituency in Sundergarh district.
He registered two more consecutive wins in the 2009 and 2014 Assembly elections. But he lost Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2019 Assembly polls.
