Forester lands in Vigilance net in Kandhamal

Phulbani: Tightening the noose around the necks of the corrupt officials, Vigilance sleuths today raided the office and houses of a forester of Baliguda forest division in Kandhamal district on the charge of possessing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

The accused forester has been identified as Kailash Chandra Sahu.

Acting upon a graft allegation against Sahu a team of anti-corruption wing officials conducted simultaneous raids at five places in Berhampur in Ganjam district and Phulbani starting from today morning.

The Vigilance team seized several important documents from the accused forester’s government quarter located in Baliguda and further search is underway, said an official.
