Rayagada: A huge quantity of foreign liquor has been seized in Rayagada district of Odisha, yesterday. Three persons have been arrested in connection with this case.
A special Team under Sub Divisional Police Officer(SDPO) Tapan Narayan conducted multiple raids in parts of Rayagada town and seized illegal foreign and country-made liquor. The seized liquor was packed in bottles and pouches and was ready for shipment.
The police raided different parts of the city like Ashok Cinema Hall, Gajapati Chowk and Hatipatha Road. The illegal liquor business was being managed from residential homes and fast-food centres in four different locations.
Further details on this raid are awaited. The arrested persons are in custody and being interrogated.
