Flyover Collapse: AAP terms tragedy ‘man made’, case of corruption in OdishaBhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of Aam Admi Party (AAP) on Monday called the Bomikhal flyover collapse a ‘man made tragedy’ and an example of increasing corruption in Odisha.

At a press conference at the party office, AAP demanded stringent action against the officials of Panda Infra, in-charge of the construction work, and the concerned government officials.

AAP Odisha said that the mishap should be taken as a lesson and a review of all flyovers in the city should be conducted soon since there is every possibility of a re-occurrence of such a tragedy.

The party demanded Rs.25 lakh compensation for the kin of the deceased Satyabrata Patnaik (40) of Jharpada. It also sought adequate funds for the treatment of the around 20 people injured after a portion of an under construction flyover at Bomikhal collapsed yesterday.

Soumya Ranjan Swain, Convenor of Khurdha district, and other workers of the party like Susanta Pradhan, Suvendu Jena and Manas Ranjan Das were present at the press meet.
