Flipkart Introduces Odia Language Support On Its Platform
Bhubaneswar: Shopping in Odia and Bengali languages on Walmart-owned e-tailer, Flipkart will be easy as the e-commerce company introduced Odia and Bengali language support on its platform on Wednesday.
Informing about the new initiative, Flipkart in a release said that introduction of Bengali and Odia is in line with its aim of leveraging locally developed language solutions to help bring the next 200 million customers on board with e-commerce.
With the introduction of Odia and Bengali, the Flipkart app is now available in as many as seven Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi.
Meanwhile, Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta thanked Flipkart for introduces Odia language support on its platform saying it will allow more consumers to access the e-commerce platform and help local sellers and MSMEs from Odisha access a bigger market.
