Flight services by SpiceJet to resume from Jharsuguda Airport

Jharsuguda: Flight connectivity is set to be resumed from Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport here from Sunday onwards. Low-cost airline SpiceJet is all set to begin the flight services to New Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad under the Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme.

The very first flight will leave New Delhi at 1.15 pm and is scheduled to reach Jharsuguda Airport at 3.10 pm. The departure of the same flight from VSS Airport will take place at 3.40 pm which will then reach New Delhi at 5.35 pm.

As per reports, the Hyderabad flight will leave at 4.10 pm from Jharsuguda and reach the destination at 6 pm. The departure of the same flight from Hyderabad will be at 6.30 pm and will reach at VSS Airport at 8.20 pm.

Similarly, the last flight will leave Jharsuguda Airport at 8.40 pm and will reach Kolkata at 10 pm.

The resuming of flight connectivity has brought immense happiness for the locals.

PM Narendra Modi had inaugurated the VSS Airport, with a handling capacity of 300 people, in Jharsuguda on September 22 last year. But the flight services had lay unused till now.
