Bhubaneswar: As many as five places of Odisha witnessed 40-degree Celsius temperature or above on Sunday. This was informed by the Regional Meteorological Centre today.
Titilagarh, Balangir, Angul, Boudh and Baripada are the five places where the day temperature touched/ crossed the 40-degree Celsius mark today.
As per the weatherman, Titlagarh sizzled at 41.4 degree Celsius while Balangir at 41 degree Celsius. Likewise, Angul, Boudh and Baripada recorded temperature of 40.1, 40, and 40 degree Celsius respectively.
The State Capital City, Bhubaneswar reported 37.6 degree Celsius and Cuttack city recorded 37.2 degree Celsius.
