Fishermen In Odisha Badly Affected Due To Covid-19 Lock Down

Paradip: The fishermen in Odisha have been very badly affected due to the coronavirus lock down in Odisha and India. They have been forced to stay at home .

The fishermen at Paradip have expressed their  reluctance to go and catch fish. The government has however planned to allow fishing and export even during the lock down.

But there is a restriction on farming from 15th April to 14th June since it is the fish nesting season. The fishermen have also alleged that their catch is not fetching the appropriate value.
