Pension AdalatNew Delhi: With a view to settle pension cases at the earliest, Union Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the first Pension Adalat and a Pension App for Central Government employees here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Singh said the Modi government aims to make lives of pensioners easy and rewarding.

“The objective of the Pension Adalat is to bring on a common table an aggrieved pensioner, the concerned department, the bank or CGHS representative, wherever relevant. Such cases can then be settled within the framework of extant rules,” the Minister said.

“The mobile app will be extending to the mobile handset all the services meant for pensioners, which are currently available on the portal of the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare,” he added.

Singh also said that the initiative would inspire state governments to take such measures in the interest of their employees.

On the occasion, the Minister also handed over the Anubhav Award 2017 to 16 employees from various departments for outstanding service in their respective fields.
