Bhubaneswar: In a first, a Covid Test Kit developed by an Odisha based firm has got approval by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). ICMR has validated the first Rapid Antigen testing kit developed by IMGENEX India Private Limited of Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha.
As per reports, this if for the first time that a Covid Test Kit made in Odisha has received the ICMR nod.
Reportedly, the kit for testing samples for COVID-19 will be available in the market within two months. The ImCOV-Ag kit will be used to test presence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in people. The said kit has been developed under the joint endeavour of ICMR, Bhubaneswar and IMGENEX India Pvt. Ltd, Bhubaneswar, reports says.
