First cut-off list for +2 admissions in Odisha published

Bhubaneswar: The Department of School and Mass Education, Odisha released the first cut-off list for admission into the +2 courses in Higher Secondary Schools across the state on Friday.

Students can log on to the official website of the department www.samsodisha.gov.in to check out the detailed list.

As per the list released at around 11 AM this morning, the Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School has again emerged as the most shout after institution in the state with the cut-off mark for science stream reaching 88.83% in the Science stream. BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar has been seconded in the list with 88.33 %. Neelakantha Nagar Sarawati Vidya Mandir located in Berhampur has come third under the same stream.

As far as Arts and Science streams are concerned the Patia Paban Higher Secondary School of Ghasipura (78.67%) and BJB Higher Secondary School of Bhubaneswar (78.2%) has topped the list respectively.

Similarly, in Sanskrit stream the Dhruba Charan Sanskrit Higher Secondary School of Baliapal has become the most favourite institution with 68.5% marks. For vocational stream Government Vocational Higher Secondary School of Balakati has the highest cut-off mark of 85%.

Admission for students selected during first phase would be held from July 2-5.

The second cut-off list would be published on July 10 and the second phase admission would take place from July 11-12.

The classes +2 classes in institutions across the state would commence on July 24.

The department received 3, 76, 410 applications this year for admission into the +2 courses and selected 3, 41, 927 of those after scrutiny against an available number of seats of 4, 16, 952 in 2001 higher secondary schools in the state.
