Sundargarh: A major fire broke out at the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Sundergarh district of Odisha.
According to reports, the fire caught in the control room of the Steel Melting Shop (SMS)-2 around 3 am in the night. Many items including computer systems in the control room have been burnt into ashes, informed sources.
On getting the information, the local firefighters immediately arrived at the steel plant to douse the flames.
A four-member committee has been set up to ascertain the cause of the fire, added the sources.
Meanwhile, the steel plant officials have arrived at the spot to further look into the matter.
Till the last reports came in, no casualty has been reported.
