Keonjhar: A major fire broke out at the District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) in Keonjhar on Monday noon.
Reportedly, the fire broke out inside the CT scan and dialysis unit of the hospital. It is being suspected that the mishap took place due to a short circuit in the AC for some reason.
The security personnel and medical staff immediately arrived to contain the blaze and the firefighters were informed as well.
As many as 11 patients were present inside the room during this time. Six doctors and more than 20 medical staff rushed to the spot and safely evacuated all the patients. However, one patient fell unconscious while they were being shifted and his medical treatment was immediately initiated.
Till the last reports came in, the local police and firefighters have arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter to ascertain the cause behind the fire mishap.
