Kendrapara: A major mishap was averted after fire broke out at Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) today and later doused by fire brigade teams.
As per the report, sparks erupted at the Nutritional Rehabilitation Centre located inside the hospital and smokes were spotted billowing out of the building by some staff. Smoke filled the entire ward within a short span of time causing a chaotic situation for quite some time.
Fire brigade teams reached the spot and doused the flames post intimation by the medical authorities later.
While an electric short circuit is being suspected in the case, the quantum of damaged caused by the fire is being examined.
