Fine Of Rs 30 Lakh Collected On Second Day Of Covid Enforcement Drive In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha police has collected a fine of Rs. 30,59,650 on the second day of Covid Enforcement Drive in the state.

According to information, the enforcement teams under DCP security targeted the vegetables and fish markets at Jayadev Vihar, Unit IV, Unit VIII and at Sanatorium Square in order to aware the vendors along with the public regarding appropriate behavior towards the rising Covid cases.

In the last 24 hours as many as 17 people have been arrested, 902 vehicles seized and two cases have been registered for violating the Covid norms, informs Odisha police.

The violations included non usage of masks and not maintaining social distancing rules.

The Odisha police has created a hashtag #Dontshowmeyourface on its Twitter handle in order to prioritize the Covid regulations.
