Puri: Festivals of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra are observed across the year on different occasions at the Srimandira, the famous Lord Jagannath temple in Odisha.
Recently, the temple administration released the complete list of festivals that are to be observed in the year 2022 and 2023. The list begins with the Hanuman Jayanti to be observed on April 14, 2022 in the beginning of the Odia New Year. The last festival mentioned in the list is the ‘Rabana Badha Prastab’ that is to be observed on 8th April, 2023.
Among the popular festivals of Lord Jagannath, this year the Akshya Trutiya will be observed on May 3, Snana Jatra on June 14, Navajoubana Darshana on June 29, Ratha Jatra on 1st July, Hera Panchami on 5th July, Bahuda Jatra, the return journey of the Lord on 9th July, Suna Besha the Golden attire of Lord Jagannath on 10th July, Adharapana on 11th July and Niladri Bije on 12th July.
