Berhampur: In a shocking incident, a five-year-old minor girl has been allegedly murdered by her father and step-mother in Digapahandi Tentulia Sahi in Berhampur.
Reportedly, the deceased minor girl was residing with her father and stepmother in the area. The locals have alleged that there has been a continuous quarrel between the couple over his first wife and his daughter. As a result, the minor girl had to suffer.
Earlier on Sunday during the quarrel, both her parents attacked and killed her in an enraged state of mind.
According to locals, the husband and wife beat their minor daughter to death and they informed the local police.
On getting the information, the local police immediately arrived at the spot and recovered the body. The cops also found scars on her dead body.
The body has been sent for an autopsy procedure to Berhampur hospital. Meanwhile, the couple has been detained for interrogation.
