Jharsuguda: In a shocking incident, an elderly man and his son allegedly raped their housemaid for over three months at Talcher in Angul district.
The incident came to light after the victim lodged a complaint with Jharsuguda Town police today.
According to reports, the 13-year-old tribal girl used to work with a woman’s house in Jharsuguda as a domestic help. However, the woman asked her to go to work in her daughter’s house in Talcher in Angul district to look after her children.
In Talcher, she was raped by the woman’s brother-in-law and his father for the last three months. However, she managed to escape from the clutches of the duo and filed a complaint with the police after reaching Jharsuguda yesterday.
Based on her complaint, police have started an investigation into the matter. They are yet to identify the accused son-father as the as the victim is still not able to speak properly out of shock and fear.
