Mayurbhanj: A man and his son sustained injuries after miscreants shot at them during loot from a jewellery shop at Baisinga Chhak in the district today.
Locals managed to three of the miscreants while three others managed from the spot.
As per reports, a group of armed miscreants barged into Biswakarma jewellery shop and terrorized the owner and his son who were present at that time. However both the father and son tried to resist them after which miscreants opened fire at them.
The injured have been identified as Dhruba Charan Moharana and his son Litu Moharana. Both of them are undergoing treatment at the nearest hospital.
Police have started an investigation in this connection. “ We are also trying to ascertain the exact amount of ornaments looted by the miscreants,” said a police official.
