Bargarh: An elderly man along with his son attempted to commit suicide over a family feud in Nuagarh village under Khandahata panchayat in the district on Saturday.
The victims have been identified as Parama Suna (60) and his son Budha Suna (35).
As per the family members of the victim duo, a verbal duel erupted between them over some issue in the morning today which escalated into a heated argument later. In a fit of rage, Parama first consumed pesticides from a bottle kept at his home and turned critical. Later, Budha also lost his cool and drank pesticide from the same bottle with an intention to kills himself.
The duo was rushed to Bargarh DHH in critical condition following the suicide attempt and later shifted to VIMSAR in Burla for better treatment.
Bargarh Sadar Police has lodged a case in the incident and started investigation.
