Father Sells Baby Boy In Capital City Of Odisha, 1 Arrested

Bhubaneswar: An alleged child selling racket has come to the fore in the capital city of Odisha on Sunday, one person has been arrested in this connection.

The arrested man allegedly (the buyer) has been identified as Srinibas Jena. He paid Rs. 50,000/- to buy the baby boy.

The accused (father) identified as Tapan Palaie has been arrested from Nayagarh district of Odisha by the Nayapalli Police.

The mother of the child had filed a complaint in the police station against her husband.

The child (baby boy) has been rescued by the police and handed over to the Child Helpline.

According to reports, the baby boy had been solf off when he was only 12-days-old. But he was rescued when he was around 11-months-old.
