Father donates drowned son’s eye in OdishaCuttack: In an exemplary and praiseworthy gesture, a man donated the eyes of his son, who died after drowning in Mahanadi river on Saturday.

According to reports, Laxminarayan Panda, resident of CDA area in the city, donated the eyes of his young college going son Subhankar Panda to keep his son alive in some way.

“A visually challenged person can see the world through my son’s eyes. It will give solace to me,” said Panda.

Subhankar Panda, a +2 First Year student of Christ College and a Class X student of Ravenshaw Collegiate School Ritesh Pradhan, met a watery grave after they slipped into the river while posing for a photograph at Dhabaleswar Ghat on Saturday. .
