Bolangir: Rechka Banchor, a farmer at Kadobera village under Tureikela block in Bolangir district allegedly took his own life by consuming poison on Thursday.
He was immediately taken to the hospital but died in the hospital while undergoing treatment today.
He allegedly committed suicide over crop loss due to lack of rainfall. He was under severe mental stress due to losses he suffered following crop failure, informs his son.
