Fani Aftermath: Central Team Conducts Damage Assessment At Kalinga Stadium

Bhubaneswar: The Central inter-ministerial team on Wednesday visited the Kalinga Hockey Stadium here for assessment of the damage caused due to the extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani, which lashed coastal Odisha on May 3.

According to reports, the 11-member central team reached the Kalinga Hockey Stadium at 8 am this morning. After inspecting the stadium premises, the team left for Kalinga Nagar.

The Central team also visited Rasulgarh and interacted with cyclone-affected people at the Kalaraput slum.

Noteworthy, the Inter-Ministerial Central team, led by Ministry of Home Affairs Joint Secretary Vivek Bhardwaj, is conducting field inspection for three days from May 13 to 15 to ascertain the damage in the coastal districts of the state due to Cyclone Fani.
