Fani Aftermath: Central Team Arrives In Odisha For Damage Assesement

Bhubaneswar: A nine-member inter-ministerial team from Centre, led by Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Vivek Bharadwaj, reached Odisha on Sunday to assess the damage caused by Cyclone Fani.

The members met Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi on Monday morning before leaving for on-the-spot damage assessment in the cyclone-ravaged areas.

According to reports, the central team will be visiting the affected areas of Puri and Khordha districts in two groups.

Later on May 15, the team will visit parts of affected areas coming under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and hold a meeting with senior state government officials after which a detailed report will be submitted to the Centre.
