Famous Tarini temple in Keonjhar of Odisha reopens for devotees today

Keonjhar: The famous shrine of Maa Tarini at Ghatagaon of Keonjhar district in Odisha has reopened for devotees from today amid strict Covid guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) after months of lockdown across the state.

Reportedly, the devotees can visit the temple for darshan from 7.30 am to 12.30 noon and from 4 pm to 7 pm.

The temple authorities have made barricades for devotees in view of maintaining the Covid-19 guidelines. However, the devotees can only visit the temple for darshan. The priests cannot distribute prashad among the devotees.

All the devotees has to strictly follow the Covid guidelines including usage of masks and maintaining social distancing. As per the orders the devotees suffering from any co-morbidities, pregnant women, devotees above 65 years of age and children below 10 years of age have been denied entry.

The people who wish to visit the temple for vaahaan puja can enter through gate no 5.

No devotees will be allowed to be present inside the temple during the Sakala Alati, Anna Prasad Niti, Sandhya Alati and Pahada Alati of Maa Tarini.
