Family of Rahul Sahu who was rescued from death trap will visit Puri to thank Lord Jagannath

Bhubaneswar: Father of the 10-year-old boy Rahul Sahu, who was rescued alive five days after he fell into an 80 feet deep borewell at Pihrid village of Malkharoda block in Chhattisgarh, informed that his entire family member will visit Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri after the minor boy discharged from the hospital.

Speaking to the media persons, Rahul’s father Ram Kumar Sahu stated that Rahul was rescued from the 80-feet deep hole on the day of the Deva Snana Purnima of Lord Jagannath.

“It is only because of Lord Jagannath’s blessing Rahul was rescued by the rescue teams successfully. He has got a new life only by the mercy of Lord Jagannath. Therefore, we will visit the Lord Jagannath temple in Puri once Rahul completely recovers and thank the deity,” said Ram Kumar Sahu.

It is said that Rahul had visited Puri some years back. But he went missing while they were visiting the sea beach. Later, his family members got him back only reportedly after offering prayers to Lord Jagannath. And now, he was rescued from the 80-feet deep hole on the day of the Deva Snana Purnima of the Lord.

Even the NDRF team from Odisha played a vital role in the 104-hour-long rescue operation of Rahul. Currently, Rahul is undergoing treatment in ICU at Apollo Hospital in Bilaspur of Chhattisgarh.
