Bhubaneswar: Family members of a 13 year old girl who has been missing for more than one month today staged a protest in front of the Commissionerate Police Headquarters alleging police negligence.
Basant Kumar Jena, the father of the missing girl alleged that police failed to trace his daughter though he visited Barang police station several times. “We have lodged a police complaint on April 21and have provided the details of the youth who might have kidnapped our daughter. I not only visited the police station but also met the IIC several times. But unfortunately the police is yet to take any action,” said Jena.
Jena also said that he even met the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack seeking his intervention. “We don’t know whether my daughter is dead or alive. I request the police commissioner to intervene in the matter and trace my daughter,” added the father. Police said that they are trying to trace the minor girl.
