Berhampur: A fake water bottling plant was busted at Laxmi Vihar lane in the Silk City of Berhampur. The illegal plant was operating from a house.
A man identified as Rakesh Patra has been arrested in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, Bada Bazar police conducted a raid and seized huge quantity of water bottles with fake labels of reputed brands. The plant was making water pouches and bottles without prior permission from concerned authorities.
Cops sealed the plant and seized huge stock of duplicate manufacturing items and fake packaging materials with fake logos of brands.
