Fake note printing unit busted in Sundergarh, 3 held

Sundergarh: Tightening the noose around the necks of the Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) racketeers in the district, police busted a counterfeit currency printing unit in Kendudihi village under Hemagiri police limits last night and arrested three persons.

The held persons have been identified as Sadananda Khamari, Baruna Khamari and Prakash Khamari.

Getting a tip-off on the FICN printing unit which was operating inside a mobile phone reparing shop very clandestinely a police team raided it late in the night. During the raid the cops held the trio and seized 3 FICNs with a face value of Rs 500 each, a computer and a printer from the possession of the accused.

While police suspect a Chhattisgarh link of the arrested trio, an investigation is underway in the case.
