Fake currency seized at Khurda Railway Station, One arrested

Bhubaneswar: The officials of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on Friday seized fake currency notes worth Rs 3 lakh from a passenger travelling in Kamakhya-Yesvantpur Express at Khurda Road Railway station, around 30 km away from here in Odisha.

The accused passenger, identified as Simar, has been arrested following seizure of the fake currency notes from his possession.

DRI officials informed that as many as 150 fake notes in Rs 2,000 currency denomination notes have been seized. The fake currency notes were reportedly being smuggled to Bangalore from Bangladesh.
