Extended night curfew restriction comes into force in urban areas of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The extended night curfew restriction in all urban areas of Odisha came into force from this evening. The State government has imposed the night curfew restriction in all the urban areas with an aim to keep a check on the Covid positive cases.

Police personnel and local administration were seen conducting checking at different places of several cities of the State.

In Bhubaneswar too, Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Police Commissioner S.K. Priyadarshi took stock of the restriction enforcement.

It is to be noted here that Odisha government imposed the night curfew restriction on January 5 following the detection of several Omicron variant of Covid-19.

The night curfew timings, which was earlier from 10 PM to 5 AM, was extended by one hour i.e from 9 PM to 5 AM. This new restriction will continue till February 1, 2022.
