Cuttack: In the latest development in ‘Operation Haider”, the escaped gangster Haider has been arrested from Ranga Reddy district of Telangana, said Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi in a press meet. Commissionerate Police nabbed the gangster with the help of Telangana Police.
It is to be noted that Haider was serving life term at the Sambalpur Circle Jail in a murder case. However, he was admitted to SCB Hospital on March 23, 2021 for treatment and was lodged at Cabin no-5 of the surgery department of the hospital. However, he managed to escape from SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on April 10.
Praising the work of Commissionerate Police to nab the dreaded gangster, DGP Abhay took to Twitter and wrote, “Excellent work done by Commissionarate Police under leadership of CP SK Priyadarshi and DCP Cuttack Prateek G Singh in arresting fugitive convict Hyder from Hyderabad today.”
