Cuttack: In a big development in ‘Operation Haidar’, the dreaded gangster’s aide Yakub surrendered on Monday with Commissionerate Police in Cuttack of Odisha. He has also a criminal record.
It is to be noted that gangster Haidar, who was undergoing imprisonment in the Rashmi Ranjan murder case, escaped from SCB Medical in Cuttack from police custody and Commissionerate Police has launched a big manhunt to nab the criminal.

As per reports, Sallu Khan alias Yakub, a prominent aide of gangster Haidar surrendered at Chauliaganj Police Station in Cuttack on Monday. He has worked as an aide for Haidar for long time while he himself is involved with many crimes.
Yakub is accused of a bomb explosion case. As per reports, he had met Haidar at Sambalpur Jail when the gangster was lodged there. It has also been learnt that Yakub used to provide Biryani to Haidar at SCB when the gangster was undergoing treatment at this hospital before he escaped on Saturday.
