Dhenkanal: An elephant reportedly trampled a woman to death in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Netramani Sahu, a resident of Muktapasi village of the district.
The pachyderm attacked Netramani while she had gone to the nearby forest to collect mushroom due to which she died on the spot.
A team of forest officials rushed to the village after getting information about the incident and started an investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, Netramani’s body has been sent to the hospital for postmortem.
