Jagatsinghpur: Irate locals ransacked the office of the Central Electricity Supply Utility of Orissa (CESU) after a youth was electrocuted to death after coming in contact with a live wire in Pokhriapara village in the district.
The deceased Nilamani Swain was killed when he accidentally touched the 11 KV live electric wire that was hanging over his paddy field.
Later the villagers alleging negligence of CESU officials. took the body from paddy field and staged a demonstration by blocking the Pokhiriapda road demanding compensation and action against the errant CESU employees.
