Jajpur: The Vigilance slueths today arrested an electrical junior engineer (JE) on charges of accepting bribe to shift 11 KV electrical connection from one place to another in Jajpur district.
The accused official has been identified as Swadhin Kumar Sahoo who serves as junior engineer at Badachana electrical section in Jajpur.
Acting on a complaint lodged by the villages, the vigilance slueths led by Vigilance dept Additional SP and his team laid a trap to nab the JE red-handed.
The officials of the Vigilance dept caught the JE while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 10.000 to shift the 11 KV Electrical connection from one Chittaranjan Nayak’s house near Chandikhol to another place.
Later, the Jajpur Vigilance team arrested a JE and have seized some important documents from his office.
