Elections to three Municipal Corporations in Odisha to be held soon, check details

Bhubaneswar: The process for the elections to three Municipal Corporations in Odisha has reportedly started. This was informed by Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena.

According to the Urban Development Minister, elections to three Municipal Corporations namely Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, Cuttack Municipal Corporations and Berhampur Municipal Corporation will be held soon as the process has already started.

Notification regarding the delimitation of wards and reservation of seats would be released on November 15, 2021, informed the Minister adding that letters regarding this have been sent to the concerned Commissioners of the three Municipal Corporations.

The Minister, however, clarified that the election process in Sambalpur and Rourkela Municipal Corporations has not started as some cases of these Municipal Corporations are sub-judice before the courts.
