Keonjhar: An elderly person suffered serious injuries in a bear attack near Tanda village in Patna area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Monday.
The victim, identified as Buka Naik of Tanda village, sustained grievous injuries in his face and thigh in the incident.
According to reports, Achyuta had gone to nearby forest in the wee of today to collect forest produces when a bear attacked and injured him.
The locals rescued him and rushed to the community healthcare centre in Patna for treatment. He was later shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) here as his condition was deteriorated.
On being informed, local forest officials reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
