Rourkela: In a shocking incident, an elderly man was stoned to death by his two sons over an argument in Kiriakudar village under Koida police limits in Sundergarh district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Baidhar Munda (62).
Neighbours of the deceased said, a verbal duel erupted between Baidhar and his two sons Jayram Munda (35) and Gopal Munda (27) over a petty issue last night and later escalated. In a fit of rage, the son duo took out bricks and attacked the victim mercilessly. He bled profusely and died on the spot.
After the deceased’s youngest son rang up police and informed about the matter police swung into action and seized the body for autopsy.
A manhunt has been launched to trace the accused sons who are absconding since the incident.
