Eight Year Old Flees Home Fearing Studies, Rescued By RPF

Khordha: An eight-year-old boy who has fled from his home in Balasore district fearing studies was today rescued from Khurda Raod station by the Railway Protection Force (RPF).

RPF officials said that head constable S.K.Das and constables K.C.Pradhan and D Nath found from the boy sitting helplessly near the washbasin of a coach of Howrah-Chennai Mail Express Train.

“The RPF personnel consoled the boy after which he disclosed his details. He also denied of being trafficked. He told that he has left his house fearing studies,” said Das.

On arrival of the train at Khurda Road, the minor boy was taken to Station Manager’s office where the members of SOCH (Society for Children) were intimated about the incident. The minor boy has been handed over to the members of SOCH in presence of the Station Manager and RPF.
