Bhubaneswar: Eid-ul Zuha, the festival of sacrifice, is being celebrated with religious fervour and enthusiasm by Muslims in various parts of Odisha today. Special Eid prayers are being held in major towns and cities, including the State capital Bhubaneswar.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has greeted the people on Id-ul Zuha.
In his message, Patnaik tweeted, “Warm greetings on Eid-al Adha. May this festival symbolising faith & sacrifice strengthen bonds & foster peace & amity among us. Eid Mubarak”

The State government has made elaborate arrangements and taken precautionary measures for the celebrations of Bakrid today.
Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his only son in obedience of God’s command.
